If Aidan Earley is about to get your posts on ADVFN removed - copy them and send them to us and we will publish in full.

Disclosure: I have no positions in any stocks mentioned, and no plans to initiate any positions within the next 72 hours. I wrote this article myself, and it expresses my own opinions. I am not receiving compensation for it (other than from ShareProphets). I have no business relationship with any company whose stock is mentioned in this article.

Convicted criminal Aiden Earley has sent a lawyers letter to ADVFN (AFN) threatening it, unless it removes posts made by certain individuals within 48 hours. The insurance policy ADVFN has is standard for Bulletin Boards and means that it is almost certain to remove the posts even though it knows that they are not defamatory in any way shape or form. So much for free speech in the UK.

So a convicted criminal and a man who, for very good reasons is banned from being a company director, will have removed comments which are accurate in every way simply because they reveal his history of business disasters and why the authorities take such a keen interest in him. But we have an offer to those posters threatened by Earley.

If they wish to cut and paste their posts into a word document and then send that document to [email protected] then I shall publish the posts in full, bar any that are actually libellous. And we are not a bulletin board so will fight any attempts by Mr Earley to cover up certain matters as, of course, we have fought him in the past. If he can show a factual error in an individual post we will remove it.

But simply asserting that a post is defamatory is a different matter. But that is how the defamation law works wirth Bulletin Boards but not with websites such as this!

We are already promised a lawyer's letter from the convicted felon Earley but will give it our normal response: see you bitchez in Court

On another matter, Mr Earley's comments on his blog show that he is aware of unpublished information about Worthington (WRN) now in liquidation. Such information is something only the directors should know about. But born again Christian and utterly devout moral campaigner Aidan is banned from being a company director.

Surely he cannot have been acting as a shadow director at Worthington. We look forward to the administrators report on this matter with real interest. Do you reckon Aidan will try to suppress it with a lawyer's letter too?
