Already 1/3 sold out: Shares, bears, croquet contest, salmon fishing, more shares, drink and pizza at Tom Winnifrith's farm - Sharestock, 10 September
By Tom Winnifrith | Saturday 16 July 2022
Normally, 70% of seats are sold in the seven weeks before a show. Here we are, more than ten weeks from ShareStock, and one third of the seats are already booked out. Fingers crossed, it will be sold out by September 10 - and why not, as we have a great day on offer. Shares, prize croquet, salmon fishing, all-day booze and home-produced food: what better way to spend a Saturday?
If you'd like to meet legendary analysts, and sharpen your skills when it comes to money making from shares, you have to be at Sharestock. It is an investment show like no other! For starters, it is held in the beautiful surroundings of the River Dee, in Wales (by 30 yards) - that is to say, my home - not some dull, clinical hall in Central London.
With the bar open 9:00-21:00, those attending can chat to our star speakers all day. There is a lavish breakfast, pizza lunch and home-produced supper. I have already started on some of the produce!
Bring your own rod, and you can fish for salmon on the Dee. Or, you could compete in a prize croquet contest, run by my five-year-old son, Joshua.
Why miss out on amazing speakers, including:
Boatman Capital, which exposed horrific red flags at both FTSE 250-listed Babcock and AIM darling, Argo Blockchain
Flying in from New York, legendary short seller, Gabriel Grego of Globo, Akazoo, Folli Follie fame
Me, Tom Winnifrith, on fraud - with a new UK-listed expose
Lucian Miers, one of the UK’s most successful short sellers of the past 30 years
Another huge name in short selling - to be announced
If you wish to make money from a long-only FTSE 350 Portfolio - even in a bear market - there will be a talk by Chris Bailey.
I will grill four CEOs, including Steve O’Hara of Optibiotix (OPTI), Steve Brown of Orcadian (ORCA) and Ed McDermott of Seed Innovations (SEED). There will be no soft questions, and you, too, can quiz them informally in the drinks area.
We still have one CEO and one main stage speaker, plus a couple more surprises, to announce.
I do not know how many will attend. It might be 50. It might be up to 150. Though certainly no more. Sharestock is meant to be small, exclusive and relaxed. But also, informative and fun!
This is a unique chance, not only to hear successful short sellers and fraud exposers, but to mingle with them all day, perhaps over a pizza, fizz, or homemade lavender cordial.
